North Andover Schools Superintendent Christopher Hottel released the following statement on Wednesday, Jan. 27:

We have just learned that a video was placed on the Internet last month which apparently shows a bullying incident involving two North Andover Middle School seventh graders that took place in November of last year. Like the internet film that was discovered by the news in Lowell yesterday and many others throughout the country, the incident was filmed by another student.

In this case, the incident took place off school property and was not brought to the attention of school administration. If the incident had been brought to our attention, the school administration would have taken action immediately.
