More than a third of teachers are concerned that personal information displayed on social networking sites may be used in disciplinary action, new research has shown.
And a survey by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) reveals that 24% of education staff say they or a colleague have been told by an employer to remove something from their internet accounts.
The use of social networking sites has risen dramatically in recent years, with 57% of respondents having a Facebook profile.
