A bubble. With walls that could defend her against mean words and teasing. If any child dared launch a nasty word in her direction, she’d aptly tell them: “You can’t hurt me, I’m in my bubble.”
Most parents can only hope that if ever their child is the target of teasing, they’d be able to deploy a similar protective shield.
There may be some who shrug off teasing to just a rite of passage through childhood.
